Oregon Civil Union Laws

State recognition of same sex relationships is a confusing subject as it differs greatly from state to state both in name (Civil Union, Marriage, Domestic Partnership, etc.) and in rights conferred.  Beginning in 2008, Oregon implemented  its Registered Domestic Partnership law, which provides an opportunity for committed same-sex partners to avail themselves of the state rights and responsibilities afforded married heterosexual couples in Oregon. Beth Allen and the attorneys at Beth Allen Law were instrumental in promoting the passage of these rights into law, as well as helping couples join their lives together as registered domestic partners. At Beth Allen Law we are excited to continue our work to promote the full equality of all families, and we are proud to be your community law firm.
